The New Inn at Shortstanding near Coleford and Christchurch is an old Forest of Dean pub which has a real ‘country’ feel to it, complete with an open fire for those cold winter months, real ales and a large beer garden and small children’s play area, perfect in the summer.

Whether you want one of our generously portioned evening meals in the restaurant or just a bar snack, you will not be disappointed. The restaurant welcomes hungry diners seven days a week. And on Sundays, a traditional Sunday pub lunch is served from 12.00 to 3.00pm, we highly recommend that you book your table, especially for our Sunday Roasts… we are busy for a reason!

Menu favourites include our ‘Wye Valley Beer Battered Fish and Chips’, our extremely popular ‘Homemade Steak and Ale Pie’ and ‘Homemade Beef Lasagne‘.
